Grad life: A long flight

Grad life: A long flight

It can be hard for many days, you might feel like,

An imposter, a grad student who isn’t bright,

Grad life, mad vibes, Hold on to your peers and sit tight, it is a long flight.

Failures and disappointment may continue to strike,

Remember, it is a training and not a survival fight.

Take it serious don’t destroy yourself in this another phase of life,

Gradlife, mad vibes, hold on to your peers and sit tight, it is a long flight.

You may feel like working all week, not resting, trying to finish experiments in a blink,

It may seem like a good plan, don’t you think. Everything will turn out perfect, it might be an easy win,

Though there are days when it ain’t workin anymore, everything you touch, is bound to fail, hitting all time low score.

If things aren’t working out now, they may work next time.

So take a rest and reset your mind,

At least once a week, you deserve a break, it is totally fine.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, so wasn’t science.

It may seem like an easy feat, trust me it isn’t; it is a marathon spirit, don’t sprint.

Overwhelming it can be, your heart beat pacing,

Like you are the F1 car racing unit: you gotta vent it out, to your peers.

Don’t hold it, it can be heavy every minute you spend thinking.

So let go of that feeling, and take it light, because

Grad life, mad vibes, Hold on to your peers and sit tight, it is a long flight.
